Our Commitment

We believe everyone deserves equal access to rYOUminate. We are committed to making our platform usable by people of all abilities, including those with disabilities. We actively work to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards and welcome feedback to help us improve.

1. Accessibility Standards

rYOUminate is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. This is a widely recognized benchmark for web accessibility that aims to ensure:

  • Content is perceivable (visible, readable, understandable).
  • The interface is operable (navigable by keyboard and other input methods).
  • Content is understandable (clear language, predictable layout).
  • The platform is robust (compatible with assistive technologies).

While we aim for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, we do not currently hold third-party certifications. We are continuously working to improve and welcome accessibility feedback.

2. Accessibility Features

rYOUminate includes the following accessibility features:

Keyboard Navigation

The entire platform can be navigated using the keyboard. Users can tab through interactive elements, and focus is clearly visible. Keyboard shortcuts are labeled where available.

Color Contrast

Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG contrast requirements (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). We use color-blind-friendly palettes to ensure information is not conveyed by color alone.

Clear Typography

We use readable fonts, appropriate line spacing, and sufficient font sizes. Text can be resized without loss of functionality.

Headings and Structure

Content is organized with proper heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3, etc.), making it easier for users with screen readers to navigate and understand page structure.

Alt Text for Images

Key images include descriptive alt text so users with visual impairments can understand the content. Decorative images are marked appropriately.

Form Accessibility

All form fields have associated labels. Error messages are clear and linked to the fields they describe. Instructions are plain language and easy to follow.

Screen Reader Support

The platform is compatible with popular screen readers, including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. Content is properly marked up with ARIA labels and roles where needed.

Responsive Design

rYOUminate works well on devices of all sizes and orientations, including smartphones, tablets, and desktops.

Motion and Animations

We limit unnecessary animations and provide options to reduce motion for users who experience vestibular issues or motion sensitivity.

3. Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some features may have limitations. We are working to address these:
